The Garo Hills Youth Organisation has alleged that a primary school teacher was appointed in Gasbari, a village in West Garo Hills, without following relevant norms.
The complaint to the Director of School Education and Literacy was made against Karimul Islam. A similar complaint was made against Islam by residents of the village on May 10.
Both alleged that Islam was appointed without passing the Meghalaya Teachers Eligibility Test (MTET) or following other norms.
