Shillong, Oct 28: The Department of Anaesthesiology and Critical Care at NEIGRIHMS conducted a one and a half day continuing medical education (CME) workshop titled ‘Learn, Scan, Block – Exploring the Role of Ultrasound in Pain Management’ on October 25-26.
The event was attended by around 45 delegates from various institutions across the region.
A total of 10 eminent faculty from reputed institutions across India led the academic sessions and hands-on training over the two days.
The sessions were highly interactive and the participants listened to insightful lectures and got hands-on training experience that enhanced their understanding and skills in ultrasound-guided pain management techniques, a NEIGRIHMS press release stated today.
NEIGRIHMS Director Prof Nalin Mehta congratulated the department for arranging such workshops which are important considering better quality of life amongst the patients suffering from pain due to various ailments, especially cancer.
