Shillong, Jul 15: The College of Community Science, Tura, will hold a national-level Buyer-Seller Meet-cum-Exhibition on the theme ‘From Heritage to Enterprise: Empowering Women Artisans in Northeast India’, which will be held at the State Convention Centre here on July 24-25.
The event aims to provide a dedicated platform for connecting artisans with buyers, exporters, investors, designers, institutions and policymakers, thereby promoting sustainable enterprises and enhancing the national and global visibility of the North East’s heritage products.
Major highlights of the event will include B2B and B2C interactions, networking sessions with national buyers and exporters, retail chain and e-commerce platform participation, and institutional procurement opportunities. Participants will also be able to attend technical sessions on branding and packaging strategies, digital marketing and e-commerce opportunities, financial assistance and government schemes and sustainable and eco-friendly production systems.
Indigenous foods, handlooms, bamboo and cane crafts, etc will also be showcased.
