Numerous programmes are planned by the Ri Bhoi Tourism and Environmental Development Forum to celebrate its tenth year anniversary that will begin on April 9.
Chairman of the forum, Plielad Tiewsoh addressed a press conference today and informed that the forum will give away special awards and certificates to the cleanest village and resorts in Ri Bhoi. He said marathon and Miss Ri Bhoi beauty pageant and other programmes will be the highlights of the celebrations.
Tiewsoh said that the forum will also highlight the various activities initiated by it during the last ten years on tourism promotion and protection of environment.
He further appealed people of the district to extend their support and be part of the celebrations.
