The State Cancer Society of Meghalaya and the Oncology Department of Shillong Civil Hospital observed National Cancer Survivors Day today at the hospital’s cancer wing.
Cancer survivors shared their stories, their journeys, the diagnosis and treatment and also urged and inspired others who are undergoing treatment to have a positive mindset and approach to overcome the disease.
Principal Secretary of the Health Department Sampath Kumar, Civil Hospital head of radiation oncology Dr A Mawlong and other officials attended the programme.
