Shillong, Jun 14: Geetali, a sociocultural organisation based in Laban, held its biennial general body meeting today.
The meeting was presided by president CA Sudip Purkayastha. The general secretary, Ganapada Ghosh, presented a report for 2024-26, the treasurer placed the accounts and auditor’s report on the record and these were approved by the members.
A new executive committee for 2026-28 was also formed, with Purkayastha to continue as president. Three vice-presidents – Subhash Paul, Bijit Biswas and Subrata Purkayastha – were elected along with Biswarup Choudhury as general secretary, among others.
