A two-day training programme, ‘Skill Development for Livelihood Promotion through Food Processing’ was organised under SCSP from March 27 to 28 at the Department of Food Science and Nutrition at the College of Community Science in Tura.
Twenty-one trainees participated in the programme, which looked at the availability of fruits and vegetables in West Garo Hills and demand for bakery and confectionary items. Trainees had hands-on learning of how to make pickles, cakes, cookies, etc.
