The Dorbar Shnong of Moolait Brisutnga has said that one of the victims of the Umpleng murder, Lobe Tamang was not a resident of the village.
In a statement issued today, the dorbar said the victim is not known to the village and that the claim made by the mother was not acceptable.
The dorbar has also warned of action if such claims are made in the future by anyone who is a genuine resident of the village.
Tamang was one of the four victims whose body was recovered at Umpleng. The others are Nazar Kyndait (33) of Dkhiah East of East Jaiñtia Hills and Ravi Rai (23) of Elam village, Mechipradesh, Nepal and Rajesh Rai (26) of Dharan Sunsari village, Koshi Anchal, Nepal.
