The East Jaintia Hills District Executive Force (DEF) of Ladrymbai Datsimpein conducted an awareness programme on drug and substance abuse at Good Shepherd Higher Secondary School today.
The programme aimed to sensitize students about the harmful effects of drug abuse and promote a drug-free lifestyle. Police officials reinforced their commitment to a positive lifestyle.
During the event, students were also briefed about the MANAS Helpline (1933), a support system available to those in need.
The awareness programme is part of the DEF’s efforts to educate and empower the youth to make informed choices and live a healthy lifestyle.
