A webinar to generate awareness on Covid-19 vaccination was today organised by the Health Care Cell of the Shillong College.
The resource person for the webinar was Dr L Mawlong from the Health Department who spoke about Covid-19 and how it has impacted lives. He stressed on prioritising vaccination to save lives and encouraged students to get vaccinated.
Dr Mawlong said that while in college, students should notify the college health care centre if they have Covid-19 symptoms and to avail testing for the same to confirm one’s status and to prevent others from infection. He also encouraged students not to listen to rumours but seek information from right sources.
Principal of the college, Dr. E Kharkongor said that the webinar is the need of the hour and such awareness will address misinformation and prevention of further spread of Covid- 19.
