The STEM innovation hub exhibition was held at Mawngap District Christian Multipurpose Higher Secondary School today.
STEM refers to science, technology, engineering, and mathematics, which are the types of skills that students develop in these fields, including computer science.
Students from the school showcased different science and technology projects, demonstrating their talents.
The exhibition was inaugurated by Director of School Education and Literacy Swapnil Tembe with various other dignitaries in attendance.
Speaking at the exhibition, Tembe emphasized the need to improve the school infrastructure in rural schools to make the subject of science more interesting for the students.
He also highlighted the importance of programs like STEM, where students can learn practically.
Principal of the school, J. Thabah, expressed gratitude to the education department for selecting the school for the implementation of the STEM program, making it the only school in the entire state of Meghalaya to have such a program.
She also mentioned that the students greatly benefited from the implementation of the STEM project in the school.
