The War West People’s Progressive Forum held a public rally on Saturday to officially announce Treiborlang Rahul Suchen as the MDC candidate for the War West constituency in the Jaintia Hills Autonomous District Council (JHADC) election scheduled for early 2025.
This announcement was made at Darrang ground in the presence of hundreds of office bearers and Suchen’s supporters from different villages.
Suchen is, or was (it is not clear if he has stepped down from the role), the general secretary of the Jaintia Students Union and hails from Darrang.
The forum requested all voters in the constituency to support Suchen in the MDC election.
