The Joint Action Committee (JAC), Dong Namchiang has expressed concerns over plying of overloaded coal trucks through the National Highway 6 that has worsened the condition of the already damaged road.
In a statement today, JAC chairman Lasting Pala said the coal laden trucks have been moving through the road and have caused stress to the highway there.
Stating that the JAC is not against anyone earning their livelihood but overloading is posing danger to commuters.
It also urged the State government to put a stop to these illegalities and warned of public action through random detention of overloaded coal trucks.
