The platinum jubilee celebration of the Dorbar Shnong Khimusniang, Jowai, concluded yesterday.
The jubilee was observed from January 6, with various programmes like stress management for students, tree plantation, training for entrepreneurs, blood donation and sports activities, among others.
Rajya Sabha MP WR Kharlukhi, local MLA Wailadmiki Shylla, MDC Saron Paswet, Dalloi of Elaka Jowai Puramon Kynjing and others were present on the occasion.
Kharlukhi, in his speech, mentioned the various developments and changes at Khimusniang and assured assistance from the MP scheme 2025-26 amounting to Rs 10 lakh for the dorbar’s community hall.
