Sakilan Chyrmang was re-elected as the president of the Jaiñtia National Council (JNC), Sumer circle.
The new office bearers of the ciricle confirmed was confirmed at a programme held in Samasi village yesterday.
The oath taking ceremony for the new leaders was led by JNC president Sambormi Lyngdoh along with other central body leaders and waheh shnong of Samasi, Kynmoo Chyrmang.
During his speech, Lyngdoh slammed the MDA government for neglecting the people. He said instead of providing good roads and bridges in the area, the government brought in coke factories and plans to lay railway lines.
He urged the new body to work hard and contribute to the society
The Sumer circle of the JNC will also be led by Ieidmon Shadap as general secretary, Hamran Chyrmang vice president, other leaders, Leading Manar as adviser besides others, and 10 executive members and 30 members.
During the confirmation ceremony, the JNC also celebrated its four year of service to the community.
