Shillong, Aug 29: The District Sports Officer, East Jaintia Hills in collaboration with BDOs of Wapung, Lumshnong and Saipung will hold Block Level Chief Minister’s Youth Engagement Programme (CM-YEP) 2026 under theme ‘Young Meghalaya, Shaping Tomorrow’ to showcase youth talent.
Open to schools, colleges, youth and cultural clubs and individuals aged 15-29 years, including dropouts with minimum Class VIII pass, with Meghalaya domicile proof required.
Competitions include solo guitar, solo flute, poetry, story writing, painting and declamation and group folk song, folk dance, science and technology innovation, quiz, one-act play and tug of war.
For Lumshnong Block, registration closes September 3 and the programme is on September 8-9 at Lumshnong Community Hall.
For Wapung Block, the last date is September 3 and the programme is on September 10-11 at Dkhiah West Community Hall.
For Saipung Block, the last date is September 10 and programme on September 15-16 at Latyrke Community Hall.
