A legal awareness programme on drug abuse and illicit trafficking was held in Mawkyrwat market today which was organised by the District Legal Services Authority in collaboration with the office of the Superintendent of Police as part of the Pan India Awareness and Outreach Programme to celebrate Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav.
Alcydalin Lyngkhoi, Clinical Psychologist, DMHO, Mawkyrwat, second officer in charge of Mawkyrwat police station, SI Shimborlang J Kharbhih and panel lawyer of the DLSA, Mawkyrwat, Nosmi Hahshah spoke at the awareness programme covering the effects of drugs, the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985 (NDPS Acts).
