After South West Khasi Hills, the Khasi Students Union (KSU) in East Jaiñtia Hills has raised questions on partial publication of an advertisement inviting candidates to apply for various posts at the Ayush hospital.
A similar question was raised last week by the Mawkyrwat circle of the union when the District Medical & Health Officer (DMHO) published only 24 out of 40 vacant posts.
In both East Jaiñtia Hills and South West Khasi Hills, the advertisement published by the DMHO did not feature the posts of ward-boy, ward-girl, sweeper, cook, chowkidar, peon and jamadars.
KSU, East Jaiñtia Hills assistant general secretary, Pynshai Kupar Dkhar said the advertisement was published on February 15.
He said as per the letter from the Health Commissioner Secretary to the Deputy Commissioner, who is also the chairman of the Ayush society, the total number of posts required to fill are 40.
Dkhar said the Deputy Commissioner has sought time after a consultation with the DMHO.
