Prime Minister Narendra Modi unveiled multiple projects on a visit to Srinagar today in the run-up to the Lok Sabha elections, including three in Meghalaya.
The three projects fall under the Swadesh Darshan Scheme of the Union Ministry of Tourism. They comprise a project at Krangsuri Falls, an ‘Experiential Centre’ at Mawmluh and the Sohra Waterfalls Trail.
Watching the virtual launch from Shillong was Meghalaya Tourism Minister Paul Lyngdoh.
The minister informed that the Krangsuri project is completed and the government will “shortly work for the rest of the project,” a press release stated.
Lyngdoh also said that the Tourism Department is looking forward to working hand in hand with all stakeholders for the smooth running of the project.
