The East Jaiñtia Hills police detained a man and seized heroin worth Rs 2.1 crore at Ratacherra infiltration check post.
The accused has been identified as Mizazur Rahman of Kachudaram in Silchar.
Police said the person was travelling in a bus bearing registration number ML-03-0216 yesterday.
During a search 25 soap boxes of heroin and 3720 Nitrazepam tablets and a mobile phone was seized from his possession, police said.
A case under the NDPS case was registered and the accused has been detained for further necessary action, East Jaintia Hills Superintendent of Police, Giri Prasad said.
This is the second major drug haul made by the district police in three days.
