The Federation of Khasi, Jaiñtia and Garo People (FKJGP) has sought postponement of the examination for the post of staff nurse to be conducted by the health department as it coincides with the entrance examination conducted by NEIGRIHMS.
The organisation has written to Health Minister, James Sangma on the matter and said that since the examination for staff nurse is schedule for December 4 and the entrance examination for M.Sc nursing course at NEIGRIHMS will be held on the same date the health department could postpone the examination.
“There are hundreds of candidates from Meghalaya who are eligible for both the post of staff nurse examination to be conducted by the state government as well as the entrance examination. Therefore, such candidates should be given an opportunity to appear in both the exams,” FKJGP vice president, Eldie Newton Lyngdoh said.
