Shillong, Jun 19: Mawsynram MLA Ollan Singh Suin has claimed that there have been no reported incidents of infiltration into India, crediting the diligent efforts of the Border Security Force (BSF) in the region.
Suin said that nearly the entire stretch along the Bangladesh border under his constituency has been effectively fenced. He said the current condition of the road along the border has also improved, facilitating easier movement for security personnel.
The MLA said that not only are BSF officials actively engaged, but local residents are also involved in foiling any potential infiltration attempts.
