In its continuing drive against illegal and anti-social activities in the Greater Shillong area, East Khasi Hills police conducted another series of raids yesterday night.
The raids covered areas from Sadar, Polo, Urkaliar, Laitumkhrah, Madanrting and Mawblei.
Around 50 litres of IMFL was seized along with more than 200 litres of illicit country made liquor, police informed today.
During the exercise, persons creating public nuisance like playing loud music inside parked cars, soliciting in public places, drunken driving, etc were acted upon to deter such activities.
“East Khasi Hills district police will continue a sustained crackdown on such illicit activities towards a safer, secure and peaceful Shillong city,” the force stated.
