The State government has recently carried out a minor reshuffle in the State bureaucracy involving both IAS and MCS officers.
Mitali Chandra (IAS) who is the Registrar of Cooperative Societies and Joint Secretary, Planning, Investment Promotion & Sustainable Development and Agriculture & Farmers Welfare Departments has been appointed as Deputy Commissioner, Eastern West Khasi Hills.
Anita Kharpor (IAS) who is the Joint Secretary, Personnel & AR Department and Director, Employment and Craftsmen Training, will also function as Director, Information and Public Relations. She was however relieved of her functions as Director, Employment and Craftsmen Training.
John Pericles Lakiang (MCS) who is the Joint Secretary, Public Health Engineering Department etc, shall also function as Director, Employment and Craftsmen Training.
Wanrilin A M Booth (IAS) who is the Additional Secretary, Cooperation Department etc has been directed to also function as Registrar of Cooperative Societies.
Sanborn Marwein (MCS) who is the Assistant Commissioner, West Khasi Hills and Block Development Officer of Rambrai and Ri Muliang Community and Rural Development (C&RD) Blocks has been appointed as Additional Deputy Commissioner, West Khasi Hills.
Evanmi Lyngdoh (MCS) who is the Assistant Commissioner, West Khasi Hills was appointed as Block Development Officer, Ri-Muliang & Rambrai C&RD Block.
Monoranjan R. Marak (MCS) who is the Assistant Commissioner, South Garo Hills and Block Development Officer, Siju C&RD Block was appointed as Additional Deputy Commissioner, South Garo Hills.
Jacinta M. Umdor (MCS) who is the Assistant Commissioner, West Jaintia Hills has been appointed as Additional Deputy Commissioner, West Jaintia Hills.
Jericko N. Sangma (MCS) who is the Assistant Commissioner, South Garo Hills was appointed as Block Development Officer, Siju C&RD Block.
