Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma today said that the State government has successfully uncovered the potential and skills of young people through the E-Championship programme which has empowered them to take the challenge of entrepreneurship.
Speaking at the graduation ceremony of Cohort-1 entrepreneurs and on-boarding ceremony of Cohort-2 entrepreneurs, selected under CM’s E-Championship, at Tree House Tura the Chief Minister said, that the government is committed to promote entrepreneurs and create an enabling environment of opportunities.
“We have conceptualised the E-Championship Challenge to provide a platform for our entrepreneurs who have the passion but due to lack of opportunities were unable to upscale their business entities. Through this programme, we have identified the best business ideas, and have helped them to upscale their venture. We are providing mentorship and incubation to enable them to take a new leap in their entrepreneurial journey,” he said.
During the event, two noted entrepreneurs from Assam shared their experience on their entrepreneurial journey.
Bhanu Pratap from Northeast Farm Sales Promotion and Ranjith Baruah from Aromica Tea shared their experience on their entrepreneurial journey. They gave presentation of their products and enlightened the audience on the diversity of agriculture and horticulture produces and how right packaging and marketing has enabled them to take their products to different national and international markets.
The entrepreneurs from CM’s E-Championship 2020 batch Cohort -1 shared their experiences during the conclave and expressed their gratitude to the government. They said that through the programme they were supported financially as well as technically to take forward their enterprises. Most of the graduates from the programme had happy memories to share. They said that such programme will promote entrepreneurs and youth talent of the State.
The graduates were also given E-Championships Award by the Chief Minister during the conclave.
