The BJP in Garo Hills, which had sought information on Covid-19 expenditure, has alleged that its RTI on the matter is yet to be answered.
“BJP karyakartas filed RTIs through the District Administration in West and East Garo Hills seeking information on Covid situation, including expenditure in the district is yet to be answered,” said party spokesperson, Bernard Marak.
The Tura BJP MDC added that RTIs on the implementation of various central schemes launched by the BJP government under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, were also filed.
“We want to ensure that all schemes meant for the poor and genuine beneficiaries reach them without depriving even a single person. There is a complaint that the schemes are not reaching the poor as promised by the PM. Therefore, we filed RTIs and the replies will reveal if the schemes are fully implemented or partially implemented,” he added.
Recently, the BJP had also sought information from the Tura Municipal Board. However, the reply was given with details of work but without the names of beneficiaries.
