An awareness cum blood donation camp was organised by Sarot I Man, a non-governmental organisation based in Jowai, to observe the 150th Death Anniversary of freedom fighter Pa Togan Nengminja Sangma today.
The programme was organised in collaboration with the Jowai Civil Hospital Blood Centre at Panaliar Jowai.
Medical Superintendent of MCH Jowai, Dr. Ebenezer War who attended the programme as the chief guest lauded the organisation. He said the 11 members of the Sarot I Man have vision for working towards the welfare of the people.
Dr. Patricia Shylla, MO of the blood centre also lauded blood donors and hoped that the organisation continues to serve the society especially in blood donation.
Certificates were also distributed to donors as a token of appreciation and to encourage others in being part of the noble deed.
