The Shillong Lajong Football Club has signed Renan Paulino De Souza from Brazil, for the upcoming I-League 2023-24 season.
The 28-year old midfielder had represented renowned clubs such as Athetico Paranaense, Náutico, Bragantino, and showcased his skills in prestigious tournaments like the Brazilian Serie A Championship and Brazil Cup, the club said.
De Souza had also plied his trade for two seasons in Lithuania.
This acquisition comes on the heels of Shillong Lajong’s previous signings, including the 27-year-old striker Hadji Abdou Karim Samb from Dakar, Senegal, and the Brazilian defender Daniel Goncalves.
