Shillong, Aug 29: An awareness programme on Meghalaya Right to Public Service Act, 2020 was held at District Library Mynthong, Jowai, organised by District Administration, West Jaintia Hills.
The programme was chaired by Research Officer AI Mawrie with Assistant Research Officer Iaidbha Phawa, Research Assistant Kynphammi Ryngkhlem and e-District Manager Roibok Pohrmen as resource persons.
The resource persons explained key provisions, roles of designated officer, appellate authority and commission, notified services, time limits and remedy process for delay or denial. Step-by-step filing of complaints, first appeal and second appeal was demonstrated.
Project Coordinator, CM Connect, Jowai Centre Stopper Bang also briefed on services of CM Connect Centre to facilitate access to government schemes.
Officials, Waheh Chnong representatives and Synjuk ki Waheh Chnong ka Ri Jaintia attended the programme.
