Although the number of Covid-19 cases in East Khasi Hills has been showing a decline of late, the pandemic is still far from over.
Today the state government strongly advised the public that all positive persons or persons not tested who experience symptoms must report their symptoms to 14410 or call in the notified War Room helplines, before symptoms get worse, so that they can be advised on proper medical treatment or be taken to an available facility in order to prevent worsening of symptoms and deterioration in condition.
Further, the public was informed that Corona Care Centres and Community Corona Care Centres are activated and can accommodate people with mild symptoms.
Persons showing symptoms or with no space for proper home isolation are encouraged to shift to the designated centres upon testing positive. They may call the War Room Helpline for any queries.
The CCCs are located at MATI, IIM Nongthymmai and NIFT. These are open to people from all zones. The Community CCCs are located in Don Bosco Technical Centre in Laitumkhrah (Zone 1), Balika Vidyalaya in Keating Road (Zone 3), Gurudwara (Zone 3), Mae Dow Grande Hall in Jaiaw Lumbatemon (Zone 4) and St George School in Nongmynsong (Zone 5).
