Nine new cases of Covid-19 were recorded in Meghalaya today, with six of these in West Garo Hills, which is at the centre of a relative increase in infections over the last few days.
East Khasi Hills, Ri Bhoi and West Jaiñtia Hills recorded one new case each.
With five recoveries recorded in West Garo Hills and two in East Khasi Hills, Meghalaya now has 31 active cases (19 in WGH, seven in EKH, two in WJH, and one each in South West Khasi Hills, Ri Bhoi and South Garo Hills), of which four required hospitalisation (two in EKH, one each in SWKH and WJH).
