Shillong, Aug 9: The PM SHRI KV AFS Laitkor Peak hosted its annual investiture ceremony on Friday, marking the formal induction of the student leadership body for 2026–27.
The solemn occasion witnessed student leaders taking their oaths of office, promising to uphold the dignity and values of the institution.
Manish Srivastava, Chief Technical Officer, was the chief guest. The dignitaries were warmly welcomed by the Principal, Mon Bahadur Chettri, alongside staff members and students.
The ceremonial proceedings began with the badging and sash ceremony for the office bearers of the school’s four houses. Following the house investiture, the solemnity reached its peak as the members of the Apex School Council were formally invested with their portfolios, taking a pledge to carry out their duties with dedication and fairness.
In his keynote address, Srivastava congratulated the newly appointed leaders, emphasizing that leadership is fundamentally defined by responsibility, discipline, and a genuine care for one’s peers. He encouraged the student council to lead by example, remain compassionate, and prioritise the collective well-being of the student body.
Extending his blessings, Chettri commended the student appointees and wished the newly constituted house council and apex body a successful term. He expressed confidence in their ability to discharge their duties with sincerity and set high standards of conduct across the school.
