A 16 year old girl was found dead in a forest area under Umiam police station limits today.
The victim had gone missing last evening and her body was recovered by the family who informed the police.
A person identified as Jelinstar Dohtdong (20) has been arrested by police.
The family suspects Dohtdong to be behind the murder since he had informed about the girl’s death to his own family claiming that the she died by suicide.
