Nongpoh, Jul 23: A man was killed after his makeshift hut was buried in a landslide at Umdap Rngi village in Ri-Bhoi district following heavy rainfall.
The victim, from Byrnihat, had been staying in a temporary forest hut while farming in the area. He was reported missing by his brother, who found the hut completely covered in debris and alerted authorities.
