With just a few weeks left before the formal inauguration of the Model Degree College in Patharkhmah village, Ri-Bhoi, Jirang MLA Sosthenes Sohtun, along with officials from the Public Works Department (PWD), Public Health Engineering (PHE), Meghalaya Energy Corporation Limited (MeECL) and the Block Development Officer (BDO) of Jirang, visited the college today to inspect the infrastructure and identify any pending work before its opening.
During an extensive meeting that also involved the college principal and local community leaders, discussions were held on various essential work that needs to be completed prior to the inauguration.
The enrollment process for students seeking admission to Patharkhmah Model Degree College is in full swing. Academic sessions are expected to begin soon after the college’s official inauguration.
