The much-awaited health sub-centre was inaugurated on Friday in Lynshing village under Mawkynrew constituency.
The sub-centre was inaugurated by local MLA Banteidor Lyngdoh.
Funded by the National Health Mission under the Prime Minister Ayushman Bharat Health Infrastructure Mission (PM ABHIM), the facility was completed at a cost of Rs 55 lakh.
The inauguration ceremony was also attended by former MDC Martle N Mukhim, District Medical and Health Officer of East Khasi Hills Dr TS Momin, Mawkynrew Primary Health Centre Medical Officer Dr I Syiem and other local leaders and officials.
During the event, the MLA expressed his commitment to supporting the sub-centre’s development, announcing that he would assist in constructing fencing around the facility using scheme funds.
