The Lumshatsngi-Kench’s Trace dorbar shnong has elected members of the Seng Kynthei with Coweeta Basaiawmoit as the president.
The election was held at a general meeting held on May 21 which was chaired by rangbah shnong, Kyrsoi Bok Nongbri and was attended by adult female residents from the four localities within the dorbar, a press release here said.
“The attendance of the female members in this meeting has created a history which will be remembered in the Dorbar Shnong, which has obtained a new name as the “Dorbar Shnong Lumshatsngi- Kench’s Trace, Shillong”, the release added.
Other members included Irene Lyngdoh Nonglait (vice president), Deigratia Nongkhlaw (secretary) and others besides four vigilance secretaries.
