The Women’s Cell of Shillong College today organized an interactive session entitled, “Healthy, Wealthy and Wise – Break the bias” to celebrate International Women’s Day.
The aim of the programme is to educate students in areas of health and economic independence.
The resource persons for the day were Dr Anastacia C Mawthoh, BNYS who elaborated on health from the naturopath’s point of view and “Women’s Health and Wellness” and Mayfereen Ryntathiang on entrepreneurial skills to help students make informed choices and foster capacity building with the hope of a better tomorrow.
Principal of the college, Dr. E Kharkongkor in her address emphasized on healthy habits as the best way for the growth and development of a healthy lifestyle and how to raise awareness on women’s health care.
