IIM Shillong hosted the first of its kind ‘Open Studio’ that served as a platform where participating artists proudly displayed the culmination of their intense 15-day artistic journey in the form of paintings.
The Artists Residency Programme, which concluded today, proved to be an artistic extravaganza, showcasing exceptional talents and stunning paintings created by participating artists.
The exhibition was a testament to the artists’ dedication, passion and creativity. It provided an opportunity for these talented individuals to connect with one another, fostering a deeper appreciation for the passion that lies behind every brushstroke. Additionally, the studio showcased a diverse array of artworks contributed by our esteemed faculty and our own talented students, adding a unique flair to the exhibition.
The inauguration of the open studio was graced by the esteemed presence of Richa Agarwal, CEO of Emami Art and chairperson of the Kolkata Centre for Creativity. Prof Paula Sengupta, esteemed member of the Board of Governors, and mentor of the programme, was among other distinguished guests.
Agarwal spoke at the event on the theme ‘Addressing Business and Heart in ART’.
