Citizens will hold a sit-in demonstration tomorrow to protest against the attacks on innocent civilians by a gang of thugs recently in Lumdiengjri.
A press release signed by Sushit K Choudhury and Kalpana Choudhury said like-minded citizens will join them in the demonstration at Police Bazaar from 10 am to 4 pm.
“Out of the eight people three were hospitalised with serious injuries. Such events have been the order of the day and does not seem to end. Every time such events occur it is blamed on unknown miscreants since 1979,” Choudhury said.
Blaming inaction by the state law and order authorities to act on such heinous crimes, the citizens said the protest is to seek action against the culprits under the law.
