The central government, through the office of the District Social Welfare Officer of East Khasi Hills, will conduct assessment camps under the Assistance to Disabled Persons for Purchase/Fitting of Aids/Appliances (ADIP) and Rastriya Vayoshri Yojana (RVY) schemes.
These camps will be held in all Block Development Offices of East Khasi Hills with the objective to provide assistance to disabled persons for purchase/fitting of aids/appliances.
The government has urged all eligible citizens to participate in the assessment camps and bring along with the required documents, such as UDID card or Medical Disability Certificate (40 percent or above), Aadhaar card, income certificate (monthly income should be less than Rs 22,500) and passport sized photograph for the ADIP scheme. For the RVY scheme, eligible citizens should bring along their Aadhaar card, income certificate (monthly income should be less than Rs 15,000) and passport sized photograph.
