The Star Cement company has begun construction of two roads in Shymplong and Borsora villages located along the international border in East Jaiñtia Hills district.
The initiative was welcomed by the villagers who felt that with the construction of the roads, half of their burden is lifted as these villages have been suffering for years.
Waheh Shnong of Borsora, Womsar Talang said, “Never in our dreams have we thought about getting a road and now we are grateful to the Star Cement for giving us a road that would hugely benefit us.”
CSR Manager of the company, Kingshuk Borah informed that the company is construction 1.5 km road each for Shymplong and Borsora.
