Police today arrested another person accused of involvement in the Malki rape case.
Kitbok Reuben Mawthoh had been absconding since the afternoon of August 31 after his name was mentioned by the rape victim.
Mawthoh was nabbed today from Smit by a team of Laitumkhrah police.
Earlier on August 31, Laitumkhrah police arrested one of the accused, identified as 19-year-old Andy Malngiang.
Malngiang has been sent to judicial custody for 14 days.
It may be mentioned that a woman from Malki had filed a complaint with Laitumkhrah police alleging that she was raped by the two persons.
