East Jaiñtia Hills police arrested two Bangladeshis said to be masterminds in helping their fellow citizen cross over into Indian Territory.
Misba Uddin (31) and Badrul Alom (30), both from Darponagar village in Bangladesh were arrested near Pyrtakuna village today during by a joint team of Umkiang PP, Ratacherra CP and the BSF.
The pair was spotted with a large group of infiltrators, who escaped back to Bangladesh, police said, adding, they are masterminds actively aiding and abetting illegal infiltration of Bangladeshis to India in past couple of months through Kuliang–Ratacherra area.
Police also said that Misba Uddin is wanted in several other cases.
Meanwhile, a case under appropriate section of laws is being registered and investigation is on.
It may be mentioned that on August 24, a police team arrested another Misba Uddin, a most wanted trafficker from Kuliang area.
Misba Uddin, who was arrested today, was identified by Bangladeshi as the main person who was running the network, while the other reportedly works under him.
