Shillong, Aug 6: West Khasi Hills Deputy Commissioner Hema Nayak on Wednesday chaired a review meeting on the implementation of Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM) schemes at the DC office conference hall.
Attended by members of the District Water Mission, PHE Department officials and representatives from other departments, the meeting reviewed progress on key JJM components including Household Tap Water Connections, water supply to schools and Anganwadi Centres, Har Ghar Jal, and digital monitoring through the Sujalam Bharat App and Jal Seva Aankalan.
Discussions also covered operationalisation of the District Technical Unit, District Improvement Plan, District Source Sustainability Committee, support activities, and water quality testing.
Officials deliberated on implementation challenges and steps to expedite works to meet mission targets. Other issues related to effective execution of JJM in the district were also taken up.
