The Acting Syiem of Mylliem has appointed Andrew A Jyrwa as acting rangbah shnong of Laitumkhrah dorbar.
Jyrwa will look after the affairs of the locality and directed to convene a dorbar to discuss on the elections of a rangbah shnong within a month.
According to the Dorbar Hima Mylliem, the Sanad (appointment order) issued in 2018 stands cancelled as the Laitumkhrah dorbar could not elect a rangbah shnong once a year, as mandated by the Mylliem Act 2007 and Mylliem Rules, 2015.
The order from the Hima said that residents of Laitumkhrah in a letter on February 10, 2022 had sought election of a rangbah shnong.
The Hima had convened five meetings with rangbah shnongs, GB Sawkmie, SB Nongdhar, which was attended only by Jyrwa.
