The South West Khasi Hills Deputy Commissioner has informed that family members and the next of kin of Covid-19 deceased can claim Rs 50,000 in one-time ex-gratia relief from the government.
Eligible families need to submit their claim forms issued by the District Disaster Management Authority/Relief Rehabilitation Branch along with the death certificate of the Covid-19 victim issued by a competent authority certifying that the death was due to coronavirus and relevant bank details.
Family/next of kin of the people who have lost their lives due to COVID-19 can approach the office of the Deputy Commissioner, (Relief & Rehabilitation) for claiming of ex-gratia payment.
