The District Magistrate of North Garo Hills has promulgated Section 144 of the CrPC and enforced containment measures in the district.
According to the order, shops will operate from Monday to Friday from 8 am to 4 pm. Shops selling perishable items like vegetables and meat to be opened till 5pm.
Public transport is allowed to run within the district with 50 per cent seating capacity.
All shop owners and transport operators are to indicate vaccination status of their staff.
Night Curfew will be continued from 6 pm to 5am everyday with a total ban of movement of vehicles during the curfew hours. Movement of unauthorised vehicles during curfew will be met with penalties, the order stated.
Funeral gathering to be restricted to 20 persons while of social, public and political gatherings are not allowed.
Only non contact sports activities are permitted; gymnasium and fitness centre to operate subject to adherence of covid protocols.
