The West Garo Hills District Magistrate passed an order today to close all fruit and vegetable shops in Tura Supermarket, including the vegetables hawker zone, because of Covid-19 protocol breaches.
The District Magistrate, Ram Singh, said that physical distancing norms and other protocols to keep the virus in check were not being adhered to. He directed the Tura Municipal Board CEO to coordinate with the market committee on the matter.
