New containment orders have been issued by the District Magistrate of East Khasi Hills to fight the spread of Covid-19.
The house of Subrata Das, tenant of Biswajit Dutta, Nirala compound in Lower Lachumiere (opposite PCI) and the house of HB Diengdoh, Lawsohtun Block 6, house of Jokstar Marbaniang, Wahingdoh Block-3, houses of Deepak Sinha, Haripad Sukla Baydya, Bidhan Malakar, Bijoy Devnath, Ganga Ram Jat, Champa Dhar, Pradeep Ghosh, Maloy Dhar and Ionglang Passah at Lower Mawprem have been declared as containment zones to restrict unregulated entry and exit.
Meanwhile containment orders were lifted from Qtr No-P11/3B, GPO Quarters, CPO compound; the house of Nijabul Hussein, Qutub Manzil, Keating Road; the house of Arun Kariwal, Flat W-303, Ferndale Apartments; the outhouse of Brightwell Bungalow, Quarter No. 4, opposite Lady Hydari Park; the house of J Myrthong, Laban Masjid Road, opposite Elswer School, Laban; the house of the late D Wahlang, Howell Road, Laban, house of Isabella Dhar, Hattak Colony, Oxford Hill, near Angel Guesthouse and houses of Eminiancy Lyngdoh and Dr. R.E. Donn at Lower Mawprem with effect from today.
